This is good news for the public space in Africa!

This new network, formed over the summer 2017 in Bamako in the context of a training on the subject “How to organize an event in the public space”, already gathers 15 festivals working in the public space, spread through 9 African countries. It has the support of partners such as ACMUR – the collective which organizes the Rendez-Vous Chez Nous festival (Circostrada member) and the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF). One of its objectives is to enable the sharing of experiences between its members, to set up a coordination of the different festivals working in the public space all over Africa, to facilitate the distribution of African artists throughout the network, to contribute to the defense of art in the public space via the development and implementation of advocacy tools...and much more!
