The next General Meeting of Circostrada Network will take place from June 29th to July 3rd 2021 in Alès (France), in partnership with Le Cratère - National stage of Alès (France), the Institut français and Occitanie en scène. It will take place in the frame of the Focus Territories and Arts of the Institut français and of the 22nd edition of Cratère Surfaces - Alès International Outdoor Festival.

CIRCOSTRADA NETWORK IS GROWING!

We are more than happy to introduce you to our brand NEW MEMBER!

A warm welcome to the National Circus Festival of Ireland

The National Circus Festival of Ireland presents, explores and exposes circus as a highly diverse, experimental, contemporary artform to a new audience.

They do this through presenting high quality Irish and international artists delivering engaging, artform-focussed training and performances, involving the whole sector and the local community.

The festival has been growing sustainably annually, bringing with it our local partners and community, our sector and an ever increasing local and national audience.  The activities of the festival have been instrumental in the development of a local and national awareness of and appreciation for contemporary circus. The festival has programmed such luminaries as Leandre, Gandini Juggling Project, Kamchatka Theatre Company, Svalbard Company, Baccala Company and Fauna Circus.

Performing HEL 2021 is coming September in 2021!

Performing HEL is the one and only showcase dedicated to Finnish performing arts – circus, dance, theatre and everything in between. The third edition of the showcase will be held September 2–5, 2021 in Helsinki, Finland in tandem with the Helsinki Festival.

We truly hope we’ll be able to gather in sunny Helsinki in September 2021. The registration for Finnish and international presenters and programmers will start in February 2021. The showcase will stay small and intimate so that the atmosphere is more “like a creative family rather than a formal event” (feedback from 2019).

This time Performing HEL will be online too! We will offer a possibility to register to the event as an online participant.

The program of Performing HEL 2021 will be published online in March 2021. While waiting for more news you might want to take a look at the fabulous new website of the showcase: www.performinghel.fi

SAVE THE DATES FORT THE FESTIVAL!

This edition of the Festival is a very special one! It has been a challenge to maintain the programme designed from the month of May, but we knew it was the time to resist. Who would have thought that this year, it would be so difficult to simply watch a show, all together in the dark and in silence?

In the historical moment we are living, art and culture, and very specifically circus, can help preserving hope in the face of uncertainty. Today, the whole world seems to be on a tightrope, and here we are all doing balancing and juggling to deal with this new present. Now more than ever, we need to laugh, we need clowning and we need to fly with imagination, just like the artist being flown from the top of a trapeze.

Today we are all Circus, because we are making the impossible possible.
