KAHWA Meeting in Tiznit

The KAHWA meeting took place on November 8, 2018 in Tiznit, organised in partnership with Racines and in the frame of the third edition of the General Assembly for Culture in Morocco. The theme: What landscape and project(s) are being drawn up for circus and street arts?
This second KAHWA meeting took place in the context of a cycle of annual meetings initiated by Circostrada with the aim of strengthening, nurturing and developing professional and artistic collaborations between Europe and the countries of the Southern Mediterranean Area. After Tunis in October 2017, Circostrada and Racines joined forces to organise and moderate a key moment of exchanges and discussion on issues linked to international cooperation and the development of circus and street arts in Morocco.
On the agenda:
- A dinner-debate on the theme of cultural policies within territories together with representatives of different Moroccan, African and European networks taking part in the General Assembly for Culture.
- A plenary session facilitated by Circostrada and Racines
- Thematic workshops tackling issues such as the diffusion of artists, international cooperation and the stakes and tools of professional structuring of circus and street arts in Morocco.
- Many informal times dedicated to professional exchanges between Mediterranean and European professionals!
