Circostrada selected for funding from Creative Europe!
We are thrilled to announce that Circostrada is one of the 28 networks that have been selected for co-financing by the European Commission under the Creative Europe programme (Networks strand), and the only one dedicated to circus arts and street arts in Europe!
This grant will allow us to expand our long-term strategy in building a sustainable future for the fields of circus arts and street arts.
The new project will run from September 2017 till August 2021 and it will keep empowering cultural players from both sectors through activities in observation and research, professional exchanges, advocacy, capacity building and information.
Over the next four years and thanks to the commitment and involvement of the network members, we will continue undertaking biannual general meetings, FRESH international seminars every year, and Research Trips outside Europe. We will focus our endeavour on creating new links and strengthening existing ones in the Mediterranean region and on exploring, experiencing and experimenting innovative practices to tackle future challenges at work in an ever rapidly mutating world. We will enrich and improve our resource portal with multiple DATA tools, practical guides, toolkits, and much more. We will advocate for a better recognition of circus arts and street arts in Europe and beyond - by engaging in a continuous dialogue with public policy makers, by deepening the connections with academic and training organisations, and by encouraging a fertile ground for synergies with other disciplines and sectors.
We are looking forward to starting this adventure together with you, full of new collaborations and discoveries!
