Trafó House of Contemporary Arts in Budapest is a unique receptive venue in Hungary, and is also a cornerstone of the international contemporary arts scene, showcasing various genres – theatre, dance, new circus, music and visual arts – in a unique and authentic manner.

The venue’s professional programme of events, presented in a post-industrial space, is based on a unified, yet diverse approach. Experimental and audience-friendly at the same time, and inspired by new innovations as well as cultural heritage, it provides a space for the presentation of work by both domestic Hungarian and international artists.

Trafó is a forum dedicated to social issues, and a platform for establishing values and contexts as well as generating new ideas and productions. Its performances, concerts, exhibitions, and community and audience-building programmes, while focusing on younger generations, are accessible to members of any generation who are looking for something new.

Trafó House of Contemporary Art, implanté à Budapest, est un lieu unique en Hongrie. Pilier de la scène internationale des arts contemporains, il propose une programmation riche et éclectique : théâtre, danse, nouveau cirque, musique et arts visuels – d’une manière unique et authentique. 

 

La programmation professionnelle des événements accueillis par le lieu y est présentée dans un cadre post industriel et s’appuie sur une approche homogène, bien que variée. Expérimentale et conviviale à la fois, inspirée par les nouvelles innovations et l’héritage culturel, le lieu met à disposition un espace pour la présentation des œuvres des artistes aussi bien Hongrois que les artistes internationaux. 

 

Trafó est un forum dédié aux questions sociales et une plateforme qui permet d’établir des valeurs, des contextes, et de générer de nouvelles idées et productions. Ses spectacles, concerts, expositions, programmes communautaires et programmes de médiation, bien que principalement conçus pour la jeunesse, sont aussi accessibles à toutes les générations en quête de nouveauté.
