Sziget started in 1993 and by now it has become one of the biggest multicultural events of Europe. The festival attracts more than 400.000 spectators from over 80 countries to a beautiful island in the heart of Budapest, providing a complete festival-holiday experience. Sziget is a week long non-stop event with approx. 60 program venues (music and non-music) and around 250 daily programs. Sziget is also the proud winner of the 2011 and 2014 Best European Major Festival award and the 2015 Best European Line up.
