During 10 days, Sibiu becomes an enormous stage with more than 2850 artists and special guests. The Sibiu International Theatre Festival completely transforms the city, presenting events in more than 60 venues, among which there are churches, historical sites, pubs and also classic theatre halls. The Festival aims to facilitate the access of a large number of spectators to the cultural life of the city. The Sibiu International Theatre Festival also gathers together a dynamic community formed by 300 young volunteers from Romania, Hungary, Japan, Korea, Canada, Switzerland, Germany and France. Moreover, over 200 journalists and bloggers from Romania and abroad attend the Festival each year.
