Where Dance meets Circus

In partnership with ISACS - The Irish Street Arts, Circus & Spectacle Network and the MA in Festive Arts, Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick, Circostrada proposes a Focus meeting exploring the boundaries between dance and circus.

Drawing on the experience of the expert panel of speakers, this Focus meeting will be an opportunity to look at examples from both sectors of cross art form experience, of art form development and of the different paths that have been taken by dance and circus, and how these routes impact the work, the artist and the outcomes.

Open to all arts practitioners, performers, choreographers, critics, academics, policy makers, researchers and writers, this interactive session aims to stimulate debate, discussion and conversation around the fundamental differences and similarities of these art forms and how we can learn from and support each other in our unique practice.
