The International Association for Creation and Training (I-act) is an organization based in Alexandria, founded in 2004 by the Egyptian Theatre director and playwright, Mahmoud Aboudoma. I-act works in the fields of Arts and Culture using art as a tool for social development. I-act is a member of TAMASI collective, I-act created “Teatro Eskendria”  which is an arts space and social hub in Alexandria. It is a multi-purpose space. One of the main achievements of I-act in Alexandria is the Creative Forum for Independent Theatre Groups in cooperation with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. I-act initiated its first edition of the Backstreet festival in 2012. The slogan was “Towards art in non-traditional spaces” and it’s taking place every year ever since. In 2014, the second edition was organized under the slogan “The Joy Project".

L’Association Internationale pour la Création et la Formation (I-act) est une organisation implantée à Alexandrie, créée en 2004 par le directeur du Théâtre Egyptien et dramaturge, Mahmoud Aboudoma. I-act travaille dans les champs de l’art et de la culture, utilisant l’art comme outil de développement social. I-act est membre du collectif TAMASI et a créé « Teatro Eskendria », espace artistique et pôle social basé à Alexandrie. C’est un espace polyvalent. L’une des principales réalisations d’I-act à Alexandrie est le Forum Créatif pour les Groupes de Théâtre Indépendants, en coopération avec la Bibliotheca Alexandrina. I-act a initié la première édition du festival Backstreet en 2012, dont le slogan était : « Pour le développement de l’art dans les espaces non traditionnels ». Il a lieu chaque année depuis. En 2014, la seconde édition fut organisée sous le slogan « Projet de Joie ».
