WHAT IS IT?
Circostrada, the European Network for Contemporary Circus and Outdoor Arts, is dedicated to fostering the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and best practices across Europe and internationally. As part of this mission, we are excited to introduce the DIVE Touring Toolkit, a comprehensive resource designed to equip artists and cultural professionals with the essential knowledge and tools for successful and sustainable international touring. International touring presents unique challenges and opportunities, particularly in the fields of contemporary circus and outdoor arts. The DIVE Touring Toolkit is specifically tailored to these sectors, addressing key considerations such as national and regional networks, touring logistics, financial and administrative management, sustainability, accessibility, and cultural adaptability. By providing valuable insights and practical guidance, this resource empowers artists and cultural professionals to navigate the complexities of international mobility while fostering more inclusive, diverse, and eco-conscious touring practices. This toolkit is also the result of key learnings from the first edition of Perform Europe (2021), an initiative supporting international networking and promoting inclusive, diverse, and sustainable touring projects across 40 Creative Europe countries. Circostrada is proud to be part of this consortium, contributing to the development of innovative touring strategies.
