Circus into the Archives! (Zirkus ins Archiv!)

The Federal Association of Contemporary Circus in Germany (BUZZ) together with the media library for dance and theatre at the German Centre of the International Theatre Institute (ITI) is launching the campaign: Circus into the archive!

The aim is to collect audio and video and related materials that represent circus as an art form in order to make them available in the media library.

During the campaign period from April 15 to May 21, 2024, circus professionals in Germany from all genres on and of stage are invited to donate audiovisual media from private archives, collections and documentation of artistic practice to the med library.

Circus should become more visible as part of the performing arts in archives and collections in Germany.

Circus must become part of the Archives!
