On December 2016, Circostrada went on a one-week research trip to Japan.

The objectives? To meet local artists, immerse oneself in the culture, get a grasp on the panorama of circus and street arts, discover key venues and events and, of course, to strengthen the links between members of the network and Japanese cultural actors.

This short publication and first of its kind was designed to benefit to all cultural professionals eager to learn about the Japanese contemporary context of circus and street arts. It provides practical tips and contact information to foster professional opportunities and new collaborations between Japanese and European organisations. It will also give you a quick insight into the recent history and current scene of two emerging sectors and it will help you understand better the local context.

Go ahead and read it, you will feel like traveling!
