THE 4TH EDITION OF THE KAHWA MEETINGS WILL TAKE PLACE IN LEBANON LATE JULY
Initially scheduled from August 26 to 29th, in partnership with Hammana Artist House and Collectif Kahraba and in the frame of festival Nehna wel Amar wel Jiran, the meeting will eventually take place from July 27 to August 2nd in a more intimate, though no less appealing and relevant format.
The festival will not be run in its original format this year due to the current ban forbidding any event in the public space, however, the Kahraba team has shown great adaptability and increased efforts these past couple of months to come up with an alternative programme. Therefore, meetings, artistic proposals and workshops will be held in the frame of the “Nehna wel Amar wel Jiran evenings”.
Because it’s all the more important to show solidarity and support with Lebanese artists and professionals from the field in these difficult and troubled times, the Coordination team of Circostrada will go to Beirut and Hammana with a small delegation of members in order to meet local professionals, visit artistic and cultural venues, tighten ties with key stakeholders and artistic collectives working in the public space. This meeting will be coordinated by the network, together with Aurélien Zouki, co-artistic director from Hammana Artist House and Claudine Dussollier.
