General Meeting at Cirko Festival

Circostrada General Meeting took place in Helsinki, from May 14-16 2015, in the frame of the 10th edition of Cirko Festival, organized by Cirko – Center for New Circus.

This meeting gathered 53 participants from 39 organizations for 3 days of discussions, work on projects of the network, and artistic discoveries.

Among the highlights, a full day was devoted to the Work Groups set up by the network: FRESH STREET#1 and FRESH CIRCUS#3 seminars, the « CSLab » week reflecting on innovation in our fields, CS Hubble observation program, a Work Group on audience development and another one on advocacy activities developed by the network. 

The participants also participated in 2 workshops: « Thinking our relations to our audiences in the digital age » facilitated by the journalist Thomas Hahn, and « Triggering change and innovation : the Think Tank experience » based on Recommendations for a Sustainable Nordic and Baltic Dance Field report by keδja Think Tank.

This edition also offered an inspiring and warm environment to discover the Finnish local circus field, with the artistic programme of the Cirko Festival and thanks to a focus on Finnish contemporary circus organised by CircusInfo Finland.
