Circostrada Network

Circostrada is a European information and exchange network on street arts and new circus. HorsLesMurs, French National Center for development of street arts and circus arts, founded it in 2003. Consisted of about 30 correspondents chosen for their knowledge of the sectors in their country, the Circostrada network’s goal is to work on the development and structuring of street arts and circus arts in Europe.

Arts Writers & Circus Arts [vol. 2]

The network publishes articles written after the second residence for European critics, organized last May in Helsinki (Finland) thanks to Cirko Festival, the Finnish Circus Information Centre and Network New Nordic Circus Network. In continuation of the first residence, which was held in Paris in June 2009, this residency welcomed eight journalists from six countries, all specialists in theater and dance, and provided food for thought on the circus contemporary. Discussions, interviews with artists, public readings and performances have raised their interest in this sector.
